Lacy and Jake’s wedding seems like yesterday and yet a lifetime ago. I so cherish these pictures full of love and hope from four years ago this past June. Who knew their happily ever after would include a heavy dose of sorrow. Losing baby Benjamin in January was so hard. And yet, here we are in October with the happy news of another baby on the way.

With great joy, we introduce Jacob Jedediah Winship. This little baby boy “JJ” is due in Febuary on big sister Lily’s third birthday. We are beyond thrilled and so thankful to all of you who’ve prayed for this rainbow baby for Lacy and Jake.

Lily can’t wait for the baby to arrive, though she told me his name is “Sister.” Most likely because her cousins Kara and Abby call each other “Sister” and she spends a lot of time playing with them.

Life is such a precious gift. Just wanted to share our joyful news and ask you to keep praying for Lacy and baby JJ to remain healthy and happy in the coming months. I asked Lacy to share a Bible verse she’s been holding onto and she sent me this one.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help; whose hope is in the LORD, his God. Psalm 146:5.

I can’t wait to add another pair of little rubber farm boots to our window sill beside the front door this winter.
