I’ve never put together a book launch team before. I’ve never really done a book launch, though I’ve published four books thus far. With my previous novels, I just put them on Amazon and hoped for the best. But I’m working with an author coach now, the amazing Alice. She’s kind of like a football coach (but a lot more gentle and prettier too), and instead of learning football plays, I’m learning how to be a real author.
If you’d like to be on my book launch team, I will send you a free ebook soon of Farming Grace. There will be a Farming Grace Facebook page for our team. On that page, we will not only talk about the book, but we will get to know each other and hopefully have some fun. You will get inside information that I don’t share with everyone and I covet your prayers as this story goes out into the world. It’s my salvation story and it’s pretty raw and personal, I feel vulnerable releasing this book.
Real authors do book launches, so here we go…
But I want to have a good time with it too. And I really want a team behind me for encouragement and prayer support and laughter and tears and recipe sharing. You know, just doing life together for a while as Farming Grace goes on Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes and Noble.
As part of the team, I’d love for you to leave an honest review on Goodreads and Amazon, it doesn’t have to be anything big, one sentence will do. Please don’t leave your review until after you purchase the book on Amazon because to leave reviews Amazon needs a verified purchase. You can preorder the ebook for $.99 cents right now on Amazon. That’s less than you pay for a cup of Starbucks coffee, and then the ebook book price goes up to $9.99, but you will already have the ebook that I gifted you. The paperback will sell for $14.99. If you don’t like the book, please leave an honest review of how you felt about it. I appreciate real reviews.
Reviews on Amazon can be posted on Sept 3 or later, but I’d love for you to post a review on Goodreads as soon as you read the book. Goodreads accepts reviews before the book is available on Amazon. Then on release day Sept. 3rd, you can just copy and paste your Goodreads review over to Amazon so you don’t have to write two reviews.
I’ll also be creating some memes for you to share on social media. And if certain lines of the book hit you, I’d love for you to post those on social media and I’ll be doing some videos of what we do in our orchard and little clips of our farm. And clips of the boys, of course. Most of you know I have two grown daughters and five sons, four still at home. I will be sharing little videos of our boys on the farm and maybe my adorable grandbabies too.
I’ll also be doing some giveaways. If you live locally this will involve fruit. If you live far away, books and jam will most likely be the gifts you can win in the drawings.
I’m also hoping to put together a Farm to Table cookbook in the near future. I would love for you to be a part of that endeavor. The recipes will involve stone fruit and vegetables, nuts and berries, eggs and goat cheese. Okay, we don’t have a goat on our farm, but I’ve fallen in love with goat cheese so if you have a good goat cheese recipe to share on our Farming Grace Facebook page I would love that. I’d also love for you to share peach recipes or any farm recipes you may have. I’ll be sharing how we barbeque peaches and make the best peach splits with ice cream and toppings in our backyard.
So that’s about it for now. If you want to be on the launch team all you have to do is email me at: psbicknell@yahoo.com. and say you want to be on the team. Soon I’ll be sending you the ebook and a link to the new Farming Grace Facebook page. Excited to share this launch journey with you. Many hands during harvest season make the work lighter and a lot more fun. Hoping you’ll join my team. I’d like to keep the group relatively small. I’m a small parties kind of girl so I will be capping the group depending on how many respond.
Being social on social media is sometimes hard for me. I’m an introvert so I like being a fly on the wall most of the time. If you are more of a butterfly and love being social on social media, that’s awesome. I need butterflies! I’d love for you to spread the word about Farming Grace however you can. You don’t have to be on Facebook to join the launch team but that is mostly how I will share information, recipes, videos and such. Hoping you join my book harvest tribe.
Warm hugs, Paula
